What made the real difference for me was working with someone who truly understands what a day looks like for a senior executive at a global company. Someone who knows what it is like to sit through back-to-back meetings for hours, to deal with unpredictable schedules and constant stress. Melek has lived that life, and that changed everything. My coaching journey began with getting to know myself. Each week, through our sessions and shared reflections, my awareness keeps growing. This journey is transforming me into a new version of myself. One who lets go of past experiences labeled as failures, and instead makes conscious, self-compassionate choices. I can feel the change. I was looking for a way to shift to a healthier lifestyle while managing back-to-back meetings, constant travel, and business meals. I thought I was eating healthy, but I was not truly nourishing my body. After just the first week, I realized that when I ate balanced meals with the right amounts of protein, carbs, and vegetables, I no longer felt the need to snack between meals. Over the past month I took an international family vacation, went on multiple business trips, and attended several work dinners. With Melek's support, I managed the entire process surprisingly well. Now I see it clearly. This is becoming a lifestyle. It has been nearly a month and I feel so much better, both physically and mentally.
Everyone talks about the rules of losing weight. Don't eat after 6pm. But we leave home at 6 in the morning and don't return until 7:30 in the evening. Never eat chips. But what about the moment I need something crunchy to release all the tension from work? The so-called solutions I was offered didn't fit my life. Melek is different. She offers solutions that work within my world, my routines, my lifestyle, my preferences. She pulled me out of complete internal chaos. Never in my life had I been able to eat food this delicious and satisfying and live without the guilt. I keep asking myself: if it was this simple, why did I suffer for so many years? Now when I walk into a restaurant, I no longer feel trapped between being on a diet and enjoying myself. I sit down happily, with peace of mind.
Before starting, I was worried about whether I would be able to find or prepare the kinds of meals that would be recommended, given my intense work schedule. But Melek took the time to fully understand my daily routine before we even began. Within 3 to 4 days of starting, I realized all the worries I had built up in my head were completely unfounded. I had actually been under-consuming protein, which is why I kept turning to snacks and junk food. By the end of the first week, I started to feel more energetic and refreshed. My cravings for junk food and sweets in the evenings started to fade. And as my energy increased, so did my desire to exercise. Eating is a pleasure. But eating well and feeling great is on another level.
From day one, I realized I had several misconceptions, both about athletic nutrition and everyday eating. With just a few small changes, I began experiencing significant results. On some days I was eating more than usual and still feeling lighter and more energetic. Even during a vacation that included alcohol, I was able to maintain my weight. Working with Melek was a pleasure. She clearly loves what she does. Her responses were always fast and she never once left me feeling unsupported. Not a single day went by without receiving valuable insights or healthy, delicious recipes. My nutrition habits were permanently fine-tuned. I was not sure I could adopt a holistic approach to nutrition. But it feels like I found a magical formula. Thanks to Melek, I regained my gut health. The bloating is gone. My system is functioning properly again. My skin quality improved so much that people keep asking me what I have had done to my face. The fact that she also comes from a corporate background, understanding my stress, my time constraints, and how all of that affects eating habits, made all the difference. With her guidance, the meals were quick to prepare, the food combinations made sense, and I never felt deprived. I achieved all of this without even working out, including during a food-focused vacation.
At the start of the process, I could not have predicted that such simple changes would lead to such significant results. Cutting out cheese, which was not an easy idea for me, starting the day with sourdough slices as someone who never used to eat bread, and continuing with protein and greens-heavy meals helped me lose 8kg in 3 weeks. Working with a disciplined coach was the key factor. Melek set a great example through her physique, her outlook on life, and her behavior. She made a real difference in changing my eating habits and improving my quality of life through small but meaningful shifts.
